My desire is to educate parents on how to be their own special education advocate. Often parents come to us with issues that could have been prevented if they only knew how to deal with the special education IEP team.
I liken a parent going into an IEP team meeting like me being required to play chess with a chess champion. I do not understand chess. And, if I was required to play chess with a chess champion who would win? Not me. I would not even know if they make a move that is out of bounds. This is how it is with a parent up against the IEP team at the school district.
They truly know what they are doing, and are experts in their field. Thank you Myra, and all of your wonderful caring staff at Galt!

After being in the world of autism for over 30 yrs, I attended your last one (Special Education Training) and learned things I still didn’t know. Thank you soooo much for being there for us.
